SoFly Releases Hannover Airport (EDDV) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024

On May 15, 2025, SoFly announced the release of its Hannover Airport (EDDV) add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Developed in collaboration with SkyHigh Studios, this scenery aims to deliver a highly immersive and interactive experience of one of Germany’s key international airports.

• Interactive Scenery Technology: Terminal doors automatically open as users approach, with functional elevators and escalators enhancing realism.
• Dynamic Airport Environment: Seasonal changes are depicted with snow accumulation during winter and responsive snow plough operations.
• Moving Ground Transport: An underground metro and airport buses operate on schedules, complete with door animations.
• Interior Modeling with Animated People: Detailed terminal interiors feature animated staff and passengers, simulating active airport operations.
• Immersive Audio: Ambient sounds throughout the airport, including terminal announcements and environmental noises, contribute to the immersive experience.
• High-Resolution Texturing and Modeling: Accurate textures and models of terminals, aprons, signage, and surrounding infrastructure.
• Complete Airport Coverage: Includes cargo areas, hotels, car parks, and other ancillary buildings.
• GSX and VDGS Support: Fully integrated GSX profile for ground handling services and support for Aerosoft’s VDGS system.

Hannover Airport (HAJ/EDDV) is situated approximately 11 km north of Hannover and serves as a significant transport hub in northern Germany, offering flights to various European destinations.

The add-on is available for purchase at £18.99 GBP (excluding taxes) through the SoFly store and other authorized retailers.

Additionally, SoFly has introduced an Airport Product Transfer Programme, allowing customers who own equivalent airports from other developers to transfer to SoFly’s version at a discounted rate.
